How Much Does Songfinch Cost in 2026?

Songfinch is one of the best known custom song services, and its songs are written and sung by human artists. The site describes itself as 100% AI-free. That human work is what you are paying for, and it shows in the price.

We read Songfinch’s pages in September 2026. The homepage says songs start at $179. The FAQ says custom songs start at $199.99. Each artist sets their own price, and the artist cards we saw ranged from $179 to $1,099, with most between $199 and $299.

So the honest answer to “how much does Songfinch cost” is: plan on roughly $199 to $299 for most artists, a little less if you pick one at the entry price, and much more if you choose one of the top-priced artists. Rush delivery costs extra, and the rush fee is only shown at checkout. Songfinch also offers pay in 4 interest-free installments, which spreads the cost but does not lower it.

If that is more than you want to spend, there are cheaper routes. TunedForYou starts at $19.99 for a song made from your story, ready in minutes, and you hear a preview before you pay. It is a different kind of product, and the sections below explain the trade-offs so you can choose fairly.

Songfinch’s process is simple. You share your story, choose a style, pick an artist, and that artist writes and records an original song around your details. For people who want a real singer-songwriter behind the gift, that is the whole appeal, and it is a good one.

The artist you pick is the biggest price driver. An entry-priced artist and a top-priced artist can differ by more than $900 for the same occasion. Delivery speed is the second one: the date you choose at checkout, and whether you pay for rush.

Revisions are limited, which is normal for human-made work. Songfinch includes up to five lines of lyric changes plus unlimited fixes for mispronunciations. Changes beyond that cost extra. We could not verify Songfinch’s refund policy from its pages, so check it before you order if that matters to you.

TunedForYou works differently. You answer a few guided questions about the person and your memories, pick a mood and style, and the song is ready in minutes. You hear a preview of your own song before paying. TunedForYou in the US and UK: the song is $19.99; Keepsake is $29 and adds cover art made from your story, a lyric video and a greeting card; Studio is $49 and adds a memory video of their photo moving to the song plus a studio-quality WAV. There is no subscription.

Turnaround matters as much as price when a date is fixed. Songfinch says its standard delivery time is 7 days, and at checkout you can choose a specific delivery date between 1 and 7 days. Some select artists can deliver in as little as 24 hours. Rush is available for an additional fee, which Songfinch does not show before checkout.

That means a last-minute birthday or anniversary order can still work with Songfinch, but you may pay more and your choice of artists may be narrower.

On revisions, you get up to five lines of lyric changes and unlimited mispronunciation fixes. Anything bigger is a paid change.

With TunedForYou, the song is ready in minutes. You hear a preview of your own song before paying, so you know the direction before you spend anything. There is no rush fee because speed is simply how it works.

When comparing costs, factor in the date you need it, whether rush is likely, and how much you value hearing your song before paying.

If $179 or more is outside your budget, there are fast and affordable services that cost a fraction of that. They are not the same as a human artist, and they do not pretend to be, but for many occasions they are enough.

TunedForYou starts at $19.99 in the US and UK. Keepsake at $29 adds cover art made from your story, a lyric video and a greeting card. Studio at $49 adds a memory video of their photo moving to the song and a studio-quality WAV. The song is ready in minutes, you hear a preview before paying, and it works in 19 languages, which helps if the person you are writing for speaks Spanish, Portuguese or another language. See all tiers on the pricing page.

ForeverSongs says its AI composes custom lyrics and music and each song passes a human quality check. It starts at $29 depending on region and offer, and standard delivery is under 24 hours.

Songoven charges $19.90 for a custom song made with AI, delivered within an hour, with extra versions at $4.99.

Price is only one part of the choice. Think about who makes the song, how fast you need it, and how much you want to hear before paying.

Songfinch pairs you with a human artist. You get a handcrafted song and the story of “a real songwriter made this for us,” which some people value a lot. The trade-off is a higher price, a wait of up to a week unless you pay for speed, and a set number of included revisions.

TunedForYou makes the song from your story. You answer guided questions about the occasion, the relationship and specific memories, choose a style, and hear a preview of your own song in minutes. If you like it, you pay once. It will not have a human singer-songwriter behind it, and we would rather say that plainly.

For a sweet song for your mom, your wife or your husband, $19.99 to $29 is often enough. For a detailed head-to-head, see TunedForYou vs Songfinch.

A quick summary:

Songfinch’s price is not a problem in itself. For some moments, a song written and sung by a real artist is exactly the right gift.

If you are planning a first dance, a 50th anniversary or a tribute where the human story behind the song matters, Songfinch makes sense, and $200 to $300 for that collaboration can feel fair.

For many everyday occasions the math is different. A birthday surprise, a Valentine’s song or a Christmas gift for family does not always need several hundred dollars. In those cases, a $19.99 song made from your story is often the more practical choice.

With TunedForYou you get:

• A song ready in minutes. • One-time pricing from $19.99, no subscription. • A preview of your own song before paying. • 19 languages, useful for multilingual families.

If you are unsure, the simplest test is to hear your own story as a song. With TunedForYou, you can do that before you spend anything.
