Who sends these messages

How we get your number

Only from you. A phone field appears on our site while your song is being made, on the page where you enter your email, after you pay, and on the “talk to a songwriter” form. The field is optional. We never buy, rent or borrow numbers, and we never text a number that was given to us for something else.

Under the field there are two separate checkboxes, one for each programme below. Neither is ticked for you and neither is required to buy anything. We store the sentence you saw, whether you ticked it, the moment, the page and your IP address next to your number.

1. Song-ready texts

The box for this programme reads:

Text me when my song is ready. Msg & data rates may apply, msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

  • One message per song when it is finished, with the link to hear it.

2. Holiday reminders and song ideas (optional)

Where offered, a second, separate box reads:

Text me holiday reminders and new song ideas from TunedForYou (up to 4 msgs/month). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent not required to buy.

  • Reminders before holidays and occasions (for example Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Christmas, or a birthday you told us about).
  • Ideas for a new song.
  • At most 4 messages a month. Only if you ticked this box; ticking the first box alone never adds you to this one.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

How to stop, and help

Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting that number, for both programmes. Texts sent outside the US and Canada come from the name “TunedForYou” and cannot be replied to, so they carry a link that does the same. Reply HELP for help, or write to hello@tunedforyou.com. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number and your SMS opt-in record are not sold, rented or shared, and are used only to send these messages through our SMS provider. See the SMS sections of our privacy policy and terms.
